    Put that in exactly, and the said phone resitrcitions removed but then when I put the O2 sim in, it says Sim card registration failed. Any advice?

    You need to activate the SIM.
    Is it an old expired SIM?
    Need a good SIM.

    I phoned up O2 and activated it! My bad, does anyone know how long approx it usually takes?

    It's possible you might have to activate it with minutes before it works but maybe it's already working by now.
