Hi NOKIAS, (or anybody else for that matter) I saw where you helped nokia unlock a Nokia 6010, in the thread on page :- http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/413849 I was wondering if you could help me unlock my 6010 IMEI 010418/00/634830/6 Many thanks if you can help... Cheers, Chyro
Sorry I forgot to mention that the phone came from Canada from a company called MUCH. When I start it up with my local SIM card in, it doesn't say it's locked or restricted, but there is absolutely no signla no matter what I do - does this mean it is indeed locked ? Cheers
Hi etowah, Yes I am to get to the menu with the SIM in, which leads me to believe the phone perhaps has been unlocked already ... I have also found out that MUCH is actually not a cellular provider, but a music channel in Canada - ie. some type of designer phone ? So if it unlocked, then why would it not be able to receive a signal ? I have reset the factory settings to noi avail. ps I am trying to get the phone to work in Malawi with the GSM carrier celtel - could it be that phones from Canada are incompatible with the network here ? Many thanks, Phil
Hi etowah, Yes I am able to get to the menu with the SIM in, which leads me to suspect the phone perhaps has been unlocked already ... I have also found out that MUCH is actually not a cellular provider, but a music channel in Canada - ie. some type of designer phone built to promote the music channel ? So if it is unlocked, then why would it not be able to receive a signal ? I have reset the factory settings to no avail. ps I am trying to get the phone to work in Malawi (Africa), with a GSM carrier (celtel) and have also tried, to no avail, in Kuwait - could it be that phones from Canada are incompatible with the network in Africa and the Middle East ? Many thanks, Chyro
