We do not have new sim card yet. Can we unlock it by removing current sim card?

    I do not know.
    You can try this.
    Remove SIM
    Turn on.
    Ignore "Insert SIM
    Enter code as instructed before
    [bold]Press and hold [/bold] OK or Enter(which ever) [bold] for 3 to 4 seconds.[/bold]
I believe this has worked before but for another model phone.

    Make sure battery is charged.
    Power on.
    Ignore “Insert SIM”

    Hello,

"Phone restriction is off" for the second cell phone! Thanks.

I am in Germany. Since my first phone did not respond to Vodafone sim card, I had to wait to find out why. I still do not know why but I have found out that O2 sim card would provide the necessary reception in order for me to use Nokia 6102i!

    Thank you!

    Good news for me.
The 6102 from the US is a Tri-Band phone and should get Networks that use the 1800Mhz Band.
Many Networks in Europe have limited coverage in that Band and favour the 900Mhz Band. You will need to ask around for the best coverage in the 1800MHZ Band.
I Germany I think you will be OK.
