and now it says phone restricted with a stop sign and i cant click anything

Hi all,
I have been trying to unlock my nokia 6102b from cingular, USA
the ime is
357100000413127

however, I have tried about 4 codes in it, though I have had the sim card out the whole time.

Gave the the stop sign and the "phone locked" message each time.
Since I still have the card out, I can't tell if it's hardlocked or not (it's late, and I don't have the energy to find it).
Any chance of there being a code?

P.S.
I took the battery out between about every two attempts. Dont know if that makes a difference whether it is hardlocked or not.
