Unlocked my 6230 but the one network that I want to use will not show up on a manual search and when left on automatic the phone gets a signal. I tried a sim from a different network and it worked. Is there something else that I can do to allow all networks. Entering in an unlock code now returns a message that the phone is not restricted. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Ty
The phone was on Cingular in USA and now I'm in South Africa trying to use Vodacom (MTN and CellC work but Vodacom does not register??)

    Vodafone operats on GSM 900.

The 6230 from Cingular operates on GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/1800/1900 MHz.

Since the phone doesnt work on GSM 900, you will not receive signal with Vodafone in South Africa.

    Sorry.

    Hi YesYou
Is the 6230 in the US a different phone? I see on the UK and Global Nokia site that it is EGSM 900/1800/1900 and there are people that I know in South Africa that use it on the 900 band. It looks like the USA site says that the 6230 is indeed 850/1800/1900. Anyone know why the two different phones. Mine is from the US - now that is frustrating.
