Hi, Well I was working on a computer the hard drive is locked with a password, it's a Samsung SATA. We have no clue what the password is but we need to remove so that we can put it to use. I was woundering if anyone know some software to unlock this drive.
Sure I would BUT it has a password on the hard drive!! You know the kind that you can set in the BOIS and it doesn't allow read or write access to the hard drive if you don't have the password. So does anyone else know?
You will not get instructions on this forum on how to do that because it would help criminals. You might have stolen the computer or got it from a thief. You might not. We don't know. Contact the computer manufacturer with proof of legal ownership.
yes i would second that, you should get the password form the owner of the system, and if you say the owner, lost the password, have the owner get a hold of the maker of the drive and get tech help!
