I unlocked my best friends iPhone 3G a couple months ago. He woke up the other morning with no signal from T-Mobile. His 3G would pop on by itself and we couldn't get it to stay in Airplane Mode. I tried reinstalling ultrasn0w and stuff like that with no success. So we decided to redo the whole thing. I saw that 3.1 is now Jailbreakable so we went that route since he was running 3.0.1. Everything went fine. The 3G and Airplane Mode problems were gone,but he still can't get a signal. It DID however get a signal with my AT&T sim card while it was locked. Once Jailbroken and unlocked is when it loses signal. It ends up with "No Service" up top. Please advise. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
While the phone is on take out the sim card and then put it back in and wait for about 3 minutes and see what happens. I recently did my friends and I too was having that problem until I took out the sim.
