Hi all. I bought a Nokia 6230 B set over the counter without a SIm card at Galveston. When I tried using it in india It was able to catch only one provider. But In the city of mumbai I was able to catch all networks. One of the Guys told me its a single band set. Now I am in canaveral. I use a prepaid T mobile card. I did enquire with a T-Mobile who said to me there is triband on the set but it has not been unlocked properly. I have been trying to unlock this set. any one has any bright ideas how to do so? And also if at all this set is a triband set or if I have been duped?
Ok. The 6230 is a tri-band phone. If it was from North America it is a tri-band 850/1800/1900 MHz. If it is from Europe, it is a tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz. India uses 900 MHz for the most part. So I don't know what frequincies your phone supports, but if you know then check this site out http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_in.shtml
