K, im new to all of this. I followed the tutorial on modding my harddrive and everything worked out fine it seems I burned my first game with Pioneer 110D and XBC V2.5, and used DvdDecrypter to burn the game to a memorex dvd+r dL disc. I went to play in the xbox 360 and got "unplayable disc". Can anyone help me with this? I was able to watch a backup of 300 on the 360 with no problems thanks
i would give a guess that i am 98% sure about. It is the Memorex discs. They completely suck for backing up games. Also, make sure when using DVD DEcrypter to burn the games that you are manually setting the layer break. If not they will never work. You may want to upgrade to the newest version of IMGburn instead. DVD DEcrypter always worked great for me but IMGburn is made by the same guy except newer
I am going to throw my guess out there and say, you downloaded the game, and didnt realize that it was the wrong region or wrong file for the type of hack you have i.e. NME or Xtreme.
Sorry Shep, but you are wrong. I'm trying to make a backup Steimy: i am now trying with imgburn. Why do some say to set the layer break and others say not to, since version 2 came out?
tools-->settings-->write-->layer break. Check user specified and set it to 1913760. Click ok and burn as normal. This is only necessary the first time burning a 360 game That is how to set the layer break, it is the same for every game so you only need to set it once. The newer versions of IMGburn usually make you select the .DVD file rather than the ISO and in that case you do not have to manually set it. But i do anyway so that i never have to worry about it.
