I have downloaded a movie. It say it is a .AVI format but none of the known players can open it. When I try to check the movie with the G-spot or AviCheck or any other programs it say "Unsupported Video Format"...How can I check with what codecs this movie was compress with ?
Have you tried running it with DivX player and also have you made sure that you have the latest codec pack running anyway.
Yes ., I have Divx 6.4 and a divx player and when I try to play the movie is say " unsupported format" , than when I check detail this is what I get.. Have you tried to play it in VLC Player. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_players/vlc.cfm It is a very good program and can play all types that i have put through it. Also make sure that you update your codecs by downloading a codec bundle.
