Guys, I am having probs Burning VCDs with Nero 5.5. I have ripped a dvd and encoded it using the guide on this site (smartripper, dvd2avi,Tmpgenc)I get the Mpeg file no problem. I then followed the guide on 'creating video CDs using Nero-Burning ROM' on this site. However the disks are useless. My PC DVD and CD drive don't recognise them and return the illegal function error. My home DVD player (Toshiba) recognises the disk as a VCD, tried to play it then stops! I can query the CD in Nero. The structure is there but the size of the files are given as (?)MB. Any ideas what’s wrong?

    a) Do you use the latest version of Nero?

    b) Did you follow our "VCD with Nero" guide to the letter?

...and btw. wrong forum, I moved this to VCD/SVCD forum now.

Update: I have tried this with 4 different media... no dice. Also what I said in my previous message was wrong. When i query the disk it finds the tracks but I don't think it recognises the mode as it puts (?MB) in that field... Any ideas...........anyone
