Unusual burning problems...

    I have a _NEC DVD+-RW ND-6450A using Windows XP SP2. When I burn a CD with this drive I have no problems at all. When I try burning a DVD it will never work. I have tried all types of different burning applications but I always get an error at 0 or 1%. It doesn't burn any data to my blank DVD at all. I have no idea why I can burn CD's but not DVD's with it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Try burning with ImgBurn.
    If there is an error, click 'Tools' > 'Drive' > 'Check for firmware updates..'
    If there is still an error, check the log.
    If it created a log, copy and paste it here or at the ImgBurn Support Forum.

    6450 .. isn't that about 6 years or more old now?? .. probably just died a death..
