hi! ok, first of all, I did read the tutorials & guides & did not find my question answered :)
ok, I am using Nero Vision Express 3 for this project. I had downloaded 2 documentaries off Bittorrent, both avi files. Burned both with my Sony burner onto one DVD-R disc using Nero, creating menus and all for the disc. (both were burned NTSC; doesn't Nero convert automatically to whatever format is needed?) During playback the menu comes up and the first show plays fine. Then, trying to select the 2nd show off the menu I get a 'check disc' error mesage. Both play fine on my PC.
This is odd because I have also downloaded concerts the same way & they playback fine on that same TV & player (many in .mpeg format as well as .avi). Yet, I have downloaded movies or other documentaries that give me the same error (check disc). Again, all play on my PC and I am using the same type of Sony DVD-R discs for all projects. It seems to me that maybe some of the files are coded wrong?? I'm just lost as to why one show will play and the other won't on the same player and the very same disc.
help is very appreciated! I have lots more to burn but don't want to keep wasting discs if not everything is going to playback properly.
    thanks!!

I also use Tmpgenc Dvd Author, works great for me. Plus it can output into a VIDEO_TS folder as well if the finished product needs some compression with Dvd Shrink. Nero didn't work too well for me.
