upconverting with componenet cables or s video

    Hd projection plasma tv is a couple years old and doesn't have a hdmi input. Will component cables, or s-video serve the same purpose from an rca upconverting dvd player so that I can get an improved picture playing regular dvds or divx.... thanks in advance

    use the component cables there better than the S-Video

    and yes it will be an improvement
