Hi I currently have the firmware 3.80 m33-5 on a psp slim and I would like to either reinstall it or put another one since it's not working well (it doesn't start the games anymore). I don't care about all the hacks etc all I need is to play games in iso on the memory stick. How do I do that? Please be clear since it's the first time I'm doing this.

upgrade to 5.00m33-3. to upgrade strait from your psp you need it connected to the web via wifi.
    First, go to settings
Then, network update download the update but DO NOT INSTALL IT. press O then go to your game memory stick you should see an icon that says "psp Update ver 5.00" click that.
Next, after a second or two it will say "500.pbp not found would you like to download it from the internet" click yes.
After, it downloads it will send you back to the menu. just click the "psp Update ver 5.00" icon and it will go to the black with white text then it will update like normal.

I did all this off memory so sorry if it's a little off.

One more thing remember to disable any cxmbs you may have.

OK thanks. I thought that if you updated directly from the psp it would put the original firmware back, but it works.
