Update to 4.2 offline?

    I am attempting to softmod my Nintendo wii from 3.1 to 4.2 and I tried using the firmware updater but says it needs internet connection to complete. I do not have internet access and I pray anyone can please assist me, my region is United States. I want to update to 4.2 so I can follow Larry's 4.2 guide which also includes the usb loader part as well. I was fine updating until the 4.3 relases came to haunt me. again thank you.

    2010 Fifa World Cup South Africa
    Endless Ocean 2
    Super Mario Galaxy 2

    Do you just put the game in and then it does all of the upgrade for you?

    It will ask you when you put the disc in if you want to update, then you click "yes". It will then update for you. There are some hardware issues on Nintendo's part that may cause your wii to brick with 4.2, but the chance is 1 in 1000. Very unlikely.
