Hi, power calibration error usually means that your burner does not like your media. What brand are u using? Try Taiyo Yudens instead or Verbatims.

    Your logs show TDK.

-16x TDK and I've seen that code on a slew of burn logs.

Slow her down to 8x,maybe even 4x.

Here's some info on your drive and drive/media feedback from fellow users:

I've never had a problem with burn speeds in ImgBurn, recheck your settings. With ImgBurn you can also preset various media and the write speed you want to use.

    http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=4249

I would also think that if you went back to 8X discs (as you said you used), rather than the 16X your log shows your older burner would be able to burn again.

cheers for the help, the 16x disc was an oddity i had lying around as for the problem , removing nero and then trying to adjust the burn speed on imgburn seemed to have helped the problem.

my friend suggested that the 2 programs may have been conflicting with each other.

    thanks again

    I've got nero6,imgburn,copytodvd,sonic,and dvd decrypter-all burn programs.

The only issues I had was because of nero. A clean uninstall of nero6,running nero cleantool a couple times, then redownload nero 6 again and all was well.

Sometime nero can be flaky. Here's the links to Nerocleantool 6 and 7. Not sure if there's one for Nero 8 in case you had that version:

    http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/us/Nero_6_CleanTool.html

    http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html

Even though you removed Nero, there may still be some remnants left over.

Download the correct cleantool-matches your version- and run it.This should completely remove all remnants of nero. Another thing about nero,is a packet called INCD. That packet can cause issues.Roxio can also cause issues in case you also have that on your pc.

Also beware of TDK media. Stick with Verbatim or Taiyo yuden and you'll prevent a lot of headaches now and later.

    Burn On!!
