has anyone ever updated their bios and chip set? if so how? i have an asus mob and they say before i update the bios that i should update the chipset first or a problem may occur. lets hear some feed back please.
Doing it is easy enough. If you let us know what chipset is on the board and what BIOS you currently have, then I'll point you to the downloads. If you don't know the chipset, then just list the model number of the board. Asus motherboards: http://uk.asus.com/products1.aspx?l1=3 The chipset will either be Nvidia, VIA, SIS, Intel etc... Asus normally have the option to use a windows based BIOS update, which is the easiest method of updating.
