updating bios

    I have Xecuter2.Build.4977 installed on my xbox but i want 2 update it 2 Xecuter2.4980 how would i do that?

    i have tried 1 guide all ready which is this 1

    but when i put the disk in it just says 'the xbox cant recognize this disc.' (i no it not the cdrw cuz i have used it b 4)

    i'v tried using the 2nd bank on my x2.2 lite but i used a 1mb bios. so is there any way of updating my old bios?

    Are you sure it is not the CDRW? I read that if you have a v1.0 xbox with the Thompson drive you need to use DVD-r or RW to get it to work. Just a thought.

    If not it is probably the way you are doing it. Is there an option in the normal bios menu to flash your bios? I know you get that option on the EvoX dashboard.

    Or could even be the way you are constructing your bios disk, are you using the dummy file to pad the disk out?

    Get FlashX(not xflash). Install it over ftp to your apps folder. Make 4980 into a 1meg bios and put it in a bios folder on your xbox c:. Run flashx and folow the instructions and flash your chip.
