hey, im going to update my Starview Box when i get the null modem cable, Ok its a clone box it has only 18vents on top/side, and here is the info in the system bit, STARVIEW, API ver : 2.57e_E, Boot ver : 7.0, 16.Aug.2006, thats all the info there, so can u point me toward to firmware and software to make this happen? if been reading about if i upload a wrong f/w the box will self destruct well you know hehe thanks
I can most certainly do that for you my friend ... Go to http://eko.4shared.com and navigate into the 'Starview' folder then into the 'Firmware' folder. Download the CryptStar-v14-Core257.bin file as that is the one that is clone box safe. Do no download any of the other files there as they can kill your box. You will also need the GTRom v4.00.rar file from the 'Software' folder(you will need WinRAR to de-archive (filename: wrar35.exe in the 'Starview folder)
