Hi, as already stated, I'm a newb to d Box Super. I've just purchased a null modem cable, confirmed it's using Port COM1, and just to be sure, downloaded Gtrom loaders 6.00, 6.01, 7.05, 7.09beta, 8.00, and 8.02 (a bit extreme but wanted correct one). Where do I go from here pls? I've just tried them all, and getting same Flash Update Fail message. Any helpers?

it's 8.02 make sure the box is on and the cable is definately null modem not a standard rs232. then it should work.

The silly bitch in d shop swore it was a null modem cable, despite me expressing my doubts. If it's not too much hassle, pls go to www.rev-ed.co.uk/docs/usb010.pdf , and read the specs on d cable I bought. Maybe u can confirm my suspicions that it's a standard RS232 serial cable instead of null modem cable.

thats the usb to rs232 adaptor you need to plug in a null modem female to female into the end of that and then the box to flash it. i'm sorry that woman isn't technical enough.

I've just used 8.02 to update the Box Super (I bought a null modem cable this morning) and got "download complete". However, when I plugged the Box Super back in to cable and tv, nothing has changed, still just "scrambled or bad channel". EMU is on. Am I missing something? I'm in Dublin and a NTHell customer...

    Menu > 1570
Go to set default key > press ok
Exit to s*y two & it should update.
