Updating the box with new codes/firmware

    it's my understanding that everyone's box is down now, and needs to be updated. How do I go about doing this? Do I need to reconnect it to the computer and put something on it, or will new codes be published that I can type in? Sorry for the noob-like question, this is the first time I've experienced this problem with the box and don't know what to do.

    ANy help would be greatly appreciated
