I modded my xbox using a Xenium S.P.Ice mod chip and flashed the bios and loaded evolutionX on the original hard drive. Everything was well with my xbox when I did this. I went out and bought a 160gb Hitachi hard drive and installed it, using the hard drive upgrade wizard on the Xenium S.P.Ice chip. Everything went well with this and I was able to boot into the EvolutionX dashboard. I tried putting in a game and loading it and the Xbox never loads the game it just freezes when it is trying to actually load the game. I am able to FTP to the new hard drive and load into evolutionX so I hope it is just a setting issue. Anyone have any ideas?
I am having the exact same problem. I used the Sp.Ice utility to backup the hard drive to a larger one (160 WD) and everything seems to work fine but the games just seem to freeze while loading. Can anyone offer any help? Thanks.
I actually solved my problem by saying forget the sp.ice utility and using the slayer 1.6 auto install. This upgraded the hard drive for me and installed the apps that I was interested in using. Also you'll need to use evtool to edit your bios to enable the LGA support (for hard drives greater than 137 gb)
