upgraded to windows xp pro

    i just upgraded from windows xp home to windows xp pro and now my laptop is so much slower than before is there a way to fix this problem

    Not really a quick way...but I'll always advise anyone to never upgrade a Windows operating system. When going from one to another, do a fresh installation.

    However, you might try to reinstall the laptop's system drivers, such as chipset, video/audio/keyboard....etc.

    Then use a good registry cleaner like RegSeeker or CCleaner...then do a defrag on the disk.

    goto control panel/system/advanced/peformance/settings and uncheck all those stupid visual effects....should be more responsive after that.

    also i would go here http://majorgeeks.com/page.php?id=12 go through all ur services and disable any you dont need, dont forget to read what each one does by clicking the name before disabling anything.
