Hi all! hoping you can answer this question. I purchased a copy of clonedvd and anydvd. The license keys enter automatically. I am starting to have trouble with all of the new protections on dvds so I think an upgrade is in order.

how do I go about upgrading my existing software? Do I have to "repurchase" the software? Everytime I go to the site it only allows me to install a trial version, then it wants me to pay.

PS: I purchased my software via an independent party/private party.

You should have received a activation file. And it shouldn't matter, once you click on the activation file, it puts the key into your registry.

All you have to do is download the current version and install it. (reboot of course).

AnyDVD key is good for lifetime updates. CloneDVD2 key is good for a year.

I don't think something is kosher. If you recieved a legitimate activation number AnyDvd will automatically contact you with a pop up window when you turn on your PC telling you a new update is available.

All you do then is follow the prompts, install, and reboot your PC. Done. I would contact where ever you bought this and see what's going on. You shouldn't even have to check to see if there's a new update. They do it for you.
