Im upgrading my xbox hdd and i found a really good tutorial.. http://www.techfreaks.org/articles/modxbox2.shtml The tutorial says to burn the linux.iso to a cd but it was 2.35 gbs so i used "burn image to disc" on a dvd. ( Dont know if that has to do with the problem) The tutorial says to disconnect all other hdds (except for the upgrading xbox hdd) before launching the linux.iso but my computer wont let me because the windows wont boot. I connected the hdd with windows on it but when i did that .. the disc never booted. I Dont know what im doing wrong. The xbox hdd is ide obviously and im connecting it to my dvd roms wires since my other hdds are sata. PLEASE HELP If you know about this topic or have upgraded a xbox hdd please im me at garthg91
The only way to connect the HDD to the PC is to use the IDE cables that connect to the HDD port on the motherboard. You will need a conversion piece since yours is SATA. The other thing is... I always use XBOXHDM for all my HDD needs. Hope this helps.
