just have a couple of questions reguarding this if anyone has done it can help me out. I've read several tuts that say you have to use hddhackr to flash the hdd? is that the only way??? I also saw the one tut on youtube and just used xplorer360 and just copied partition 3 from stock and copied to new HDD with out flashing?? does that work and work using vista??? if so I only have one sata port avaiable (other one is broken) do I need to get a sata card? I just want to know what is the easiest way to do this I just bought the x360 hdd cheap and want to upgrading so I don't have anything important in there (game saves, profiles are in mem cards)I just want to swap thats it no transfering. Any help is apreciated.
you can do it with the 1 sata port you have... you'll need a floppy disk drive http://www.pcworld.com/article/150970/upgrade_your_xbox_360s_hard_drive_on_the_cheap.html
i dunno what you mean by that. regarding the tutorial I posted you don't even need a flash drive. i didn't use one cause the computer i was working with at the time couldn't boot off the flash drive. so i went the floppy drive route. all I did was download the 6.22 MS-DOS boot disk from the site:: http://www.allbootdisks.com/download/dos.html with the MS-DOS boot disk and the hdd utility you can easily flash the harddrive... really its quite a simple task compared to the other stuff with xbox360
what i meant was that i have win XP pro SP2 and i went and chose the automatic boot disk and i have 6 downloads , should i download them all or should i use the diskette images .
