I need help. I was wondering how much memory could i upgrade my windows 98 to. Is there any limit to how much i could upgrade to and if so, how could i upgrade it pass the limit without damaging or doing any harm to my PC.
Actually; there's [bold]two[/bold] things to consider when upgrading RAM; first; you should look up specs on your computer as to just how much mem your mobo supports; second (i'm not sure myself,but..) you should find out just how much your OS can hold.... I ain't an expert; but I'm sure if you google the things I mentioned; you'll find plenty of answers P.S. On reply; remember to post your PC brand & model #. Lastly; (if I remember correctly see if your comp will support DDR2 RAM;;;because I'm not totally sure; but I think I read somewhere that it's the fastest memory available right now....
Actually it doesnt really depend on what os you got. All you need to know is your mobo model and the type of memory it can support cheers!
Well, my PC is a Compaq Presario and model # is 5070. Can that be upgraded pass the limit memory of 384MB? If so, can you tell me how.
