Can you upscale a divx disc picture just brought 40inch LCD TV with watching them now on a bigger screen you can see all the imperfections seen DVD players that upscale the picture to hd through the hdmi connection do they work ? Samsung and Toshiba models I’ve been looking at any body got one of these players any advice would help cheers using the progressive connection at the moment looks no better then the scart connection don’t want to buy another DVD player if it will make no diff.
that's a good question but I really don't see how you could take an inferior video and make it better doubt upscaling would help are you using component video or hdmi hook up? Of course the obvious comes to mind most divx/xvid videos are made to fit on on cd-r not made for optimal quality if you are creating your own divx files use gordian knot its an all in one, one click suite and you can select up to 2gb for output file giving you optimal quality and there is a new autogk out this week.
