Well i read somewhere once someone had accidently unsubscribed from all threads when cleaning out his subribtion list. Could that be the problem?

Sorry if I sounded rude in my last post. I was panicking a bit.

    What is a subscribtion list?
One more thing: On the 'My Account' page, a link says 'See list of discussion threads you've subscribed to'. When I open it, it shows the list of the threads which I had subscribed to. It dosen't give any error message which can be causing it to not notify me by email.

ashwin18: Some email providers, most notably the likes of Yahoo, tend to have this habit of automatically tagging emails they receive a lot (such as our forum notifications) as "junk" and place them automatically to some kind of a junk folder until you "white list" our emails. I'd suggest you check that option first, in case you use some webmail provider or similar. AFAIK, email reminders have been sent out during the weekend just fine.

    dRD,
Actually, everything was OK before. I don't remember changing -anything- at all, in my email settings, or in my afterdawn account settings.

I am seriously p**sed off. I have to bookmark every thread I reply to, just to make sure I stay in touch with it!

EDIT: I check my junkmail everyday, and don't find anything there except things like 'FreeLifeInsurance', or 'RolexReplicas4Cheap'

ashwin18: Which email provider do you use? We've heard reports about MSN not receiving our emails for some reason.

I use MSN (although I can access it from hotmail.com and mail.live.com too)
But as I said earlier, on this same ID, I used to recieve mails fine before.

ashwin18: Well, did you get an email notification about this thread to your email then? We checked our systems and emails sent to you were delivered correctly from our mail servers to Microsoft's hotmail server, after which, it is pretty much out of our control.

Ok this is happening to me. But it is a bit different. I am subscribed to around 50 threads and well sometimes I get an e-mail saying that "the thread has just been updated" but sometimes I don’t. I checked if I was subscribed to it and I was. But that was a few day's ago right now I'm not having any problems as far as I can see.

Ok, there is another problem. On the 'my account' page, this is what it shows.
You have posted [bold]110 messages[/bold] to our discussion forums since you created your account on (whatever). You have subscribed to [bold]57 discussion threads[/bold] so far -- if you wish to see a list of discussion threads that you currently have subscribed to, please click here.
As it says above, I've posted 110 messages in the forums. (Just 2 of them in the 'safety valve' section, so 108 to count). Then, why is my title appearing as Junior Member? Is something wrong, with the site or with my account. Or is there any other section like the 'safety valve' where posts don't count towards the title?

is not an automatic change once it hits new status number. you're in between transition dates.

    ddp,
    Sorry, didn't know that.

Anyway, I have changed my email ID on the account page in afterdawn.com. I've used a Yahoo! ID now which I've been using for some time. I've already recieved one confirmation of 'successful unsubscription'.

I find both Yahoo and MSN/hotmail to be annoying. For some reason, MSN and hotmail will just just automatically switch the junk email filters with no action on your part. I belong to a lot of art and photo clubs and I ended up switching to gmail which I really like. Yahoo's images are these tiny little thumbnails which are too small to make out.

Nah all my afterdawn newsletters go to my bulk folder through yahoo, as do many of my thread update emails. I use yahoo and i just don't have my account to delete al the email going into it. It has about a week in there before it goes or sumin.

It's a pain but oh well.
