USB 2.0 on USB 1.x compliant motherboard ?

    Is it possible ? They are 2 old motherboards the Intel D815EEA and ECS P61WF, I've searched for hours but haven't found a straight forward answer. I wanna test a USB 2.0 card on these old motherboards and I'm not sure if USB 2.0 wil work :S please help...

    usb2 card can be used on motherboards with usb1. why else would they sell the cards than if can't be used.

    if xp installed, might have to load at least sp1 if not installed yet to get usb2 to work.

    Ok, so what if my XP was SP1 like 5 years ago and then it was updated to SP2 any probs there ?
