    anyone know how many amps a usb 2.0 port puts out

    only because i brought a car charger for my psp (has usb output) and it puts out 2 amps and i was wanted to know if this is "safe" to use with an ipod.

    One of the fundamentals about electronics is that something can't put out a current of a certain amount, that is merely its maximum. You can plug something that'll only use 10mA in there and it be fine.
