    Hi there,

I'd like to play some SNES, NES and NEO-GEO ROMS on my PS2 but i've only got around 30mBs of ROMs and seen as i don't have any decent CDs it seems a big waste to use a DVD5 for 30mBs of ROMs.

So i'd like to be able to boot them from my USB Stick, not bothered about having all 3 emulators on at the same time. Please help me do this and provide instructions or links.

    Thanks in advance :)

1.you have to format it in ntfs (put in the computer then start my computer right click its icon then press format and wait).

2.then download usb extreme http://www.hdadvance.com/download/ click on

USBeXtreme Windows mode Client Software (ENG .zip file) 166KB and of

course if you dont have win rar go to download.com and search it.

3.then get usb advance go to torrentz.com (you will need bittorrent www.bittorrent.com) and search usb advance usually global war edition or ps2 scene comes just make sure you get the on with the more seeders.

    4. then you need to get magic iso http://www.magiciso.com/download.htm
when your bit torrent download completes open them and extract the bin and the cue to the desktop.

    5. after that you need to open magiciso and click file open and look for the cue 3 files will come up.

    6. open usb extreme and click on the tab in the middle and then reformat the memory stick.

    7. open my computer and click on the memory stick (NEW is the label usbextreme gives it usually)

    8. make a new folder with all capitols SWAPMAGIC and drag the files from magic iso into it and rename the .ELF to SWAPMAGIC.ELF then close the box. burn all your roms and emulator to a cd (RW Cd-r doesnt matter)

    9. open usb extreme and put the cd in the drive with the roms and emulator in the correct order or whatever your supposed to do to get it to work with swap magic.

10.select your memory stick usually e,f,g just chjeck in my computer. then press star and say yes to the box that pops up and wait till it finishs. takes a long time dont worry.

11.after it finishs plug the memory stick in the usb 1 port of your ps2 and put swapmagic DVD version and wait it will automaticly take you to usb advance and pick the emulator and press x the screen will go black for up to a minute then enjoy.

feel free to distrubute But please do not change any words

    Thanks but a few things i don't follow;

I don't want to do any burning of the ROMS at all because i don't have any CD-Rs that will read from the PS2. Is there no way i can simply put them onto the stick and play without any burning?

EDIT: Sorry i understand now, one problem though, does it HAVE to be NTFS? When i look at the format i only have the options for FAT and FAT32?

I managed to NTFS format it.

    Inside of SWAPMAGIC folder > DUMMY.BIN , SWAPMAGIC.ELF , SYSTEM

Outside of the SWAPMAGIC folder: ul.6A1EC509.NEOCD.ELF.00 , ul.cfg

Is it possible that the USB stick is not compatable with the PS2?

Is a Kingston 128mbs DataTraveler, i'm not sure of the exact model
