Usb Charger

    I bought this usb charger by nexxtech the geek at the counter said it would work. output voltage (5V , 500 mA) got the ipod video 60 gb plugged it in and i get jack **** not a thing. is this the wrong voltage? if it is what kinda voltage charger am i supposed to use. ARRGHH

    The iPod should automatically charge when it is connected to a PC via the USB cable which came in the box with the iPod. Also non licensed apple products always carry the risk of not working so it's probably best to stick to offical ones.

    Which gen iPod do you have? note, not all iPods charge via USB..

    He said iPod 60GB Video. I think that's a new gen model.

    Yea its the 5th generation ipod. i just wanted to know if anything by a different make would work cause im kind of pissed at apple for making this an "accessory" GRR i dont have a stinking computer when im on vacation how would i charge it heh

    Big corps are after your money. If they know you'll pay it, they charge you. Sure, it may cost you a little, but get the apple one. It's a lot less hassle than having an unusable iPod...
