Looking into buying one of these, been reading on the forum but cant really decide. Hopefully people here can give me the pros and cons of each. I'm leaning towards usb extreme since you dont have to open the ps2. I read that flip tops tend to have problems as far as reliablitly, so thats kind of a concern. Lastly, I probally could solder in a modchip, but I'm worried about messing it up, so I'd get someone to install it for me, but I was reading that most places dont give any kind of warranty, or a very short one when they mod the slim ps2. I'll probally end up going for usb extreme, unless theres some big problem with it. I should mention im looking to play import games and backups. Thanks

I was just reading that if you have a slim ps2, you dont need the flip top if you use sawp magic, is this true? Doesnt seem to make sense.
