USB Flash Drive U3 Software needs to be removed

    got memorex 1 gig usb flash drives that have U3 software that needs to be removed

    why? cause Vista says it is not compatible with it and wont let me access the memory sticks

    I tried reformating, reformating in safe mode, and even using unlock on it to delete the software

    I know it's running in the back ground which keeps it protected

    anyone got a suggestion?
