usb low power notice iphone

    I'am having trouble with my iphone not being recognize it get a box saying
    "usb low power notice" i have an Imac 5.1 runnning on OS 10.4.11 can you guys please help me out figuring this out.

    clean out the plugs. Both the "Apple" side on the charger and phone, as well as the USB end. It's possible that there is some debris in there that is preventing a good connection.
