i have bought a Skytronic USB Dynamic Microphone. I cannot get it to work through my PC speakers. I am using Windows 6 with Vista. The Pc sees the Mic and its displayed in the DEvice Manager. There were no drivers for it .but ran Driver Detective that says all drivers are to date.I have followed the route to use mic. but no sound through speakers .The speakers are OK because my music plays through them.Trying to contact Skytronic support. but they do not support individual queries, the supplier cannot help. So heres hoping someone might here .Thanks in advance
I don't have a mic, but I have a usb turntable. Edit > Preferences > Devices USB is the recording input.
Sorry. 'Audacity' - is a the sound editing program. The app you are using should let you specify the source device - in this case 'usb'
With Vista It shows the USB mic in Device Manager, and in control Manager/ sounds it also shows the Mic as enabled. but I still cannot get anything through the Mic, the mic shows it is powered on (red light )My speakers are Ok.and it works in XP. the Vista set up is throwing me,
