Sorry about the delay in getting back to you, Bigdunc I was trying to run the new software from my laptop with USB to RS232cable, so that I could drop down to my fathers and sisters house aswell as my inlaws, without having to take all the box's up to mine and reflash them, but thats life.
Tryabit, again thankyou but I have tried that driver and no, ive done a bit of looking around in my Device Manager and I dont have any "Ports" eg "Comms+LPT" Ive looked for them but they're not there. Im going to give it a break for a while as the laptop went down as I was installing and uninstalling drivers to get the USB cable to work and somewhere it died. But thanks again
