it seems that one of my USB ports is not working. is this a windows problem or is it a driver problem. i pulled up my device manager and it shows the port to be working. but whenever i plug in my FlashDrive it does not work. then i can plug it into the back of computer to another USB port, and it works perfectly. just would like to be able to use the front ports for convenience.

Sounds like a hardware problem. Try moving it around and see if it shows up. I have the same trouble with both of my front ports. One is too close to the cabinet for the flash dive to fit right. The other port, the flash drive needs to be seated just right.

    Edit P.S. Go Big RED.

i tried doing what you thought might be the problem. it did not help any. it says that windows does not recognize the device. well if windows does not recognize the device, why does it recognize my device when i put it in the rear slot?
