Hi there, first post so please go easy on me! I`m having a problem using gtrom since buying a usb-serial adapter cable off fleabay. The null modem cable works using my old laptops serial port and I updated no problems. Now my new laptop doesnt have a serial port so i bought one of these, there are many drivers that came on the disk but I can`t get the pc to talk to the box. Here`s what i`ve tried so far. 1. Changed port number in device manager/com ports 2. Changed baud rate to match the gtrom 115200 3. Tries various drivers for the new cable, the ones on the disk and downloaded ones from various sites? (are these brand related?) Any suggestions welcome Cheers

When I plug the usb in sometimes it finds a "prolific serial bridge" other times a "prolific serial comm port"? Does that shed any light on it? Cheers again in advance
