usb Vista download ???

    Just changed from Windows XP to Vists "I KNOW" trying to download the firmware for my EV via USB adaptor have downloaded all the relavent drives for cable, and what I am getting is Vista indacating that I have COM 23 for USB. Question: how do I go about changing or using this COM for downloading.
    After downloading the firmware for the box I am getting COM 3 on the download window.
    Never had this problem with XP.

    Right pain in A**** those damn Adaptors with Vista, but it does work, have you checked dooby's guide Maz. know it is a different box but his explanation of assigning the correct COMM port might help you. >>>>> here >>>>>>>
