Hello all, My dad is a customer of Sprint Nextel. And had a question. Can you use a Nextel sim card in another unlocked phone? I, of course, assumed you could. But he said that during his visit to Nextel, a sales rep said that if you try to use a nextel sim in another unlocked phone it will not work. The phone will be locked until you remove the SIM. Any ideas? Is nextel really that different? Anyway to get around this? Thanks, Greg
You will not be able to use a nextel simcard in any other phone. Nextel is built on iDEN technology whereas the other phones that accept a simcard are most likely GSM.
