Sorry if this is a dumb question. But am wondering if I can use my DVD-RW drive as a additional hard disk. I also need to save a zip file of about 2.5GB on to a disk. Dont want to split it to multilpe CD-R's. How can I do this to a DVD-RW disk. I tried copy paste, but it does not seem to work. Any help appreciated. I need to do this urgently.
Hi, There are many ways to use DVDRW to backup files. Nero 6 has IN CD you can download from web. Insert DVD RW into burner drive. A Window pops up as "InCD Auto-Formattable (F){my burner}". Click, File, InCD Format, Format F\: Quick Format, Start, Format Complete? OK. A Window InCD E: or F: or whatever your burner is should be on screen or open in My Computer.Drag and drop files to the InCD window and they will be burned to the DVD, whilst the files are actually burning to the DVD there may be no indication other than the light in the burner. Regards dnic
You can also just use Nero Express and pick make a data dvd. In the settings select multisession so you can add more data later if you want to. Jerry
Thanx for the information. Let me try doing this. But still is there any way I can use the DVD drive as an additional hard drive for easy copy paste.
look like they said use nero incd format a dvd-rw, ones it is formated it become“s just like a harddrive just drag and drop, nothing to it you be loose some space in the dvd-rw but that is the price you pay for it, and as far ass the next question yes to remove it just delete it, it is a removable hardmedia just like antick you know a floppy.
