    Hi,

    I'm in Ireland

So I have a Starview 4 that is useless at the moment. I am wondering can I use it to pick up the Digital Terestial Television Channels that are currently being broadcast in Ireland (i.e. RTE 1,2 TV3,TG4,RTE News Now,Few Radio Channels).
I connected my Aerial to the cable in on the box and did a scan under the "NTL" heading but as I suspected I got nothing. Do I need a specific firmware to do this as all I have is the firmware that used to get all the channels before Nag 3.
    Thanks.

Different tuners. You won't get the DTT broadcast with the starviews cable tuner.

Ok that's grand. I can get the DTT channels anyway with my TV's built in MPEG-4 tuner. I just can't record with the TV.
Also on a completely different topic, do you happen to know if Sony's Play TV Device that works with the PS3 has an MPEG-4 tuner?
    Thanks.

Read something a while ago about them. As far as I'm aware they do both Mpeg-2 and Mpeg-4 and they release patches for them to improve performance. Google is your friend there I'd say.
