    Hey guys,
So this is what happened..My h943 m-28 drive was flashed with ixtreme 1.5 using Iprep about 8 months ago. That worked fine and I have been able to play my backed up games.
When the new firmware came out I downloaded Jungle Flasher and downloaded the new firmware. I then put the ixtreme 1.51 firmware in jungle flashers firmware folder so that it could auto load like i read in the tutorial. So I took apart my computer and my xbox 360 unhooked the sata cable from the 360 to the drive and pluged in my VIA sata card from my computer into the back of my 360. I then turned on the computer and installed the PORTI032. So i then opened jungleflasher and my drive came up and everything just like the tutorial said it would. So since my drive was previously flashed I used the VIA chipset only option for unlocking the drive. Everything worked fine as i did what it said (turned off 360 and turned back on w/in 1 second). the drive then said "Drive in vendor mode" so i went along with the tutorial.
i then followed the tutorial and pressed "read" and saved the file. it then asked "would like to auto-load iXtreme
for Samsung Drives" i pressed yes and everything seemed to be fine..and i'm now in the firmwaretool 32 tab. I checked the "dvd key @" and the "dvd key @ 0x40ec" and they did not match. I didn't think anything of it and continued to the next step. I then pressed "write" but it failed 3 times!
I tried it again with the same success. So i stupidly pressed the "erase" button on jungle flasher and it said it erased it. now when my 360 is plugged into my xbox the green light just continues to blink like it doesn't know its there..and it won't eject. When i turn on my computer and plug in the sata cable to the back of the 360 it causes it to freeze. Even if both my 360 and computer are off and i plug the sata cable in and turn them both on at the same time i get the same result. frozen..computer and a drive that won't eject.
So my question is..is there anything i can do to save my drive and my xbox? if anyone knows i'll be very greatful!

I really don't know about what you may have done to your drive but I've been having the freezing problem a good deal. For one you have to go back and make sure that the driver in your system 32 folder is deleted. Another word of advice is if you didn't update your drivers for your motherboard chipsets you might want to it helped me some what especially when I needed JF to reconize the drive. Make sure that before you run the program or turn on the drive that the driver is disabled.

You will just need to reflash ix1.51 to the drive. Since it is freezing in Windows. Make a bootable flash drive and put dosflash 1.7 on it (dosflash16= dosflash.exe and dosflash.typ) and your custom firmware. Boot to it and you should be able to flash and resurrect your drive.

thanks for the response. Do I need to use iprep as well or does the dosflash do all I need it to? Will dosflash be able to recognize my drive or not? Sorry I've never used it before, so I don't really know what its all about or what to do. Is it a program that I boot off a flash drive? And also does it matter if my SATA card is a VIA one? thanks soo much!

I've never used Dosflash so I can't tell you anything about that I know VIA SATA card should be fine you might need to know what port your plugged into. If you can't find any answers here try looking at the tutorials at 360mods.net find out more info.

So this is what I just did as someone suggested it to me...
i followed this tutorial (http://www.360mods.net/index.php?name=F ... ic&t=11945). The bottom part of it that says "Alternate (advanced) method:" The problem I am having is that when I went to flash it in iprep it says no drive detected. I believe this is because when I erased the drive in Jungle Flasher which it made the light on my 360 start to blink and that is what is continually does now whenever I power it on, and it doesn't matter if I have the power cord plugged into the back of the drive or not..it still continually blinks. Does this mean I need to get a power source other then the 360 to try and power my drive? Or would dosflash 16 work? If so is there a tutorial anyone knows about I can follow to properly use it? Thanks so much!!!!!!!

The drivers on your card are polling the dvd drive and locking up because you erased the fw. Change your drivers so that it doesn't poll the drive and then reflash the drive.

copperkid..thanks for the response. I found the driver in c:\windows\system32\drivers. Its named viamraid. I opened it in notepad don't understand any of it. Is this what you meant? Where do I go from here? Thanks.

Just remove the viamraid.sys from the drivers folder and keep it in a different location. Reboot and then you should be able to flash.

did you disable the driver in device manager? You need to do that and then restart your computer. Then use Dosflash32

you first need delete the driver in system32, then you need to disable the card in device manager, then you restart your computer. Than it should recognize your 360 drive and you should be able to flash it. Dosflash32 is much easier..but jungleflasher works too.

    try this:
    1. Disable Via Sata card in device manager
    2. Delete the via driver in system32 folder (go to my computer, local hard drive (c:), windows, system32 folder, then locate the driver which should be the the name of your card and delete it)
    3. Restart computer
    4. Enable Via Sata card
    5. Flash with dosflash32 or jungleflasher
