I am on a laptop with a CD/DVD Burner using Nero Version 6. My used read buffer bounces around a lot when I'm burning a CD or DVD lately. Now when I burn a DVD I set the burn speed at 2.4, so the DVD doesn't mess up. I restart my computer before each burn, I stay off the computer when I'm burning, and clear out any spyware I have on my computer periodically. Is there anyway for me to get my used read buffer back up? Thanks.
I don't know if it will help, but try going into NeroExpress , open the drawer on the left and the options tab. Look for the UltraBuffer tab and open it. There is an option for manually setting the buffer size to something else. You might give that a try and see if it changes anything. When you burn, do you have your laptop power settings configured to external power, so it doesn't use a power saving mode?
