If i were to use a different template on an Avi video file which has been converted using 23 fps, would this make much difference to the outcome as there both NTSC rate? I've just converted an Avi using Cinema Craft SP which had 23 fps originally. I used my own profile as 23 fps wasnt on the profile list. It seems just by quickly browsing through the video after completion it looks slighty hightened or distorted? Please could someone give me advice on using NTSC framerates 23, 29, 30?, etc upon the same type of framerate format. If someone has done this and it came out working fine, not distorted please let me know. Dan
Was it exactly 23fps or was it 23.976? If it's originally from an NTSC disc encoded from film source 23.976fps would be correct, and CCE should keep the framerate the same as the original when you encode. Then you can use DGPulldown to make it read at 29.97fps on the final disc. If you need to make a PAL project instead (or if it's exactly 23fps) you can use the AssumeFPS filter in AviSynth to change the framerate before encoding. BTW, I've encoded many 23.976fps sources with CCE (both SP and Basic) and never had any problems.
