Using An Old Computer To Flash Xbox 360?

I guess if the computer doesn't recognize the SATA card, or the Samsung drive I could just plug the SATA card into other computers until I find one that works. Just out of curiosity, are there any other easier methods of flashing my XBOX 360, like using a special chip or something?

 

You can send it to someone in ur area or go online and google there are many places that install mod chips. But if you cant flash your own system I wouldnt advise you to try and soder anthing onto ur system

 

If your flashing the Hitachi v78 drive then make sure the Computer will recognize ur Sata card.Better yet,if u have a new pc why dont u install the Sata card on the newer computer.takes out the worries.Before u do naything though u should make sure the computer is good enough to handle the programs being run and make sure it has a CdRom (not a floppy dirve)

yea, if the computer doesn't recognize the SATA card, I'll just go ahead and try it on my parents PC now that I'm down for spring break. If that doesn't work I'll try the SATA card on one of my roommates PC back at college.

 

if your trying to flash bios to the 360 of your old computer to run windows it will not work due to the xbox 360 running a power pc prossesor not an intel or amd chip like windows and linux usualy require there are a few distros of linux that would run but mac will not due to it not using bios it uses EFI if you are trying to run the 360 on your old laptop basicly same issue also its way to slow even if it would work

i use about the same thing to flash mine but i dont use Jungle flasher and i dont know how well it would work in win98. i would suggest using iprep or the Mod disc with a VIA card.

good job searching the forum for info btw, resurrectung a year old thread. im not being sarcastic either, so many people start new threads for topics already here.
