I use convertx to dvd primarily to burn seasons of television shows. On every single burn it ends up that the last episode on the burn is very choppy, and at times, unwatchable. I believe I tried burning a shorter number of episodes on a single disc and nothing changed. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Does ConvertX save the converted file to a folder?
Play that folder back and see if the problem is there.
If the problem seems to be only on the disk, either change to a different, reliable brand (example is Verbatim) burned at 4x or half the speed on the package or burn the disk with ImgBurn instead of ConvertX.

If you burn too close to the edge of the disc, the playback can be choppy. Even though you might try to burn one episode less, the final size of the project could be the same, as ConvertxtoDVD will increase the bitrate of the remaining videos to use the entire space available.
Follow what suggested above by attar.
